Local Buy is a company that was established in 2001 to provide comprehensive, value adding procurement services to Queensland local government. The company is a commercial entity that is wholly owned by the Local Government Association of Queensland inc. (LGAQ). Local Buy’s core business is the creation of contractual arrangements for goods and services that are used by Queensland councils, aggregating the demand for these goods and services to achieve better pricing and conditions, and eliminating the need for councils to establish their own supply contracts.
