To become a Local Buy preferred/pre-qualified supplier you need to respond to a Local Buy tender and be successful in your response. To view a list of Local Buy’s contracts and suppliers, logon to www.localbuy.net.au and click onto the Contracts link located in the bottom right-hand corner. The Contract listing also states when the tendered arrangements commenced and their proposed expiry dates, however they may be extended.
If you are not already registered with Local Buy’s LG tender box, logon to www.lgtenderbox.com.au and register your organisation. Registered businesses can download tender documents, participate in tender forums and lodge electronic tender submissions. Once you have registered your business, go to 'Advanced Search' to save searches and set an alert to receive notifications of council opportunities that may be of interest to you. As LG tender box is a tendering web portal, your organisation still needs to be successful responding to the tender to become a registered supplier.
Should you respond to a Local Buy tender and are successful, you will become a registered Local Buy preferred/pre-qualified supplier. If you respond to a Local Government tender and are successful, you will become a registered supplier for that Government Authority.
