Working with Winton

WInton Regional Council recently engaged Local Buy to conduct managed tender services to establish three panels of pre-qualified suppliers for:

• the provision of Professional Services (including: Architectural, Engineering, Spatial GIS and Construction Project Management services);
• the supply and delivery of Bulk Materials; and
• the hire of Plant & Equipment (Wet & Dry).

Local Buy's role included; developing the tender specification and documentation, preparing the RFT, administering the RFT through an online portal and providing tender evaluation services, in line with the timeframes required by council.

These arrangements resulted in the provision of a panel of predominately local suppliers for council to utilise to obtain goods and services in a timely and efficient manner and the ongoing development of a competitive local industry, resulting in ongoing benefits to the community.

Local Buy continues to provide ongoing support to assist council with their procurement activities, and due to the strong relationships built during this process, council has gone onto utilising further service offerings.
