The Local Government Regulation 2012 outlines how Queensland local governments need to manage their procurement activities to ensure fairness and transparency. The Regulation also ensures there is adequate opportunity for suppliers to bid, be awarded and engage with Queensland local governments.

Local Buy Arrangements are compliant with the Local Government Regulation 2012 and Local Government Act 2009 and provide local government entities with the assurance that all suppliers are vetted and compliant based on comprehensive tender, evaluation and approval process. Equivalent provisions are found under the City of Brisbane Act 2010 and the City of Brisbane Regulation 2012.
