Arrangement Update 2026

Article by Miranda McBride, Arrangements Administrator

Welcome to Month 2 – Evaluation - part of our three-month tender process.

The last update I shared was in mid-February, when we were right in the middle of our open application period. Applications for the February round closed on 27th February at 2:00pm, and we wrapped up the month with an impressive 773 applications submitted.

We’re now in Month 2, which means it’s all about evaluation, evaluation, evaluation.

This stage of the procurement process is where we take a closer look at the supplier responses we’ve received. Each submission is carefully reviewed against our pre-determined evaluation criteria, as well as the broader procurement objectives of the organisation.

Throughout this month, the Local Buy team will be working collaboratively to evaluate the submissions received in February, issue any required clarification requests, and support both internal and independent evaluators throughout the process.

If you applied in the February round, please keep an eye on your inbox and keep your phone handy, as our team may reach out with clarification questions. These requests are an important part of the evaluation process and help ensure we have the information needed to properly assess your application.

Once evaluations are complete, the team will move on to preparing the required Evaluation Reports, which summarise the outcomes of the assessment process. These reports are then reviewed by Probity Advisors to ensure that all processes have been followed correctly and that scoring has been applied objectively and fairly across all submissions.

Looking ahead:

Once March concludes and evaluations are finalised, we’ll move into April, when our administration team will begin the process of notifying every applicant of the outcome of their submission.

Successful applicants will receive Confirmations of Acceptance along with information on the next steps.

If you have any questions throughout this process, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the team at Local Buy through the online chat on our website or via email to enquiry@localbuy.net.au
