Happy New Year everyone, and a warm welcome to 2026!
Yes, I know we’re already in February, but this is my first newsletter of the year and I’m excited to be back!
We’re currently in Month 1 (Arrangements Open) of our three-month tender process, with 45 arrangements now released for tender.
Applications are open from 1 February to 27 February at 2pm, so now’s the perfect time to jump in.
Throughout February, our Contract Administration team will work closely with our Category Managers to support suppliers with any tender application queries.
This approach balances customer service with probity and transparency, ensuring all support provided during the tender process is fair, consistent, and transparent.
Looking ahead:
In March, the Local Buy team will work collaboratively to evaluate submissions received in February, issue any required clarifications, and support both internal and external evaluators.
The evaluation stage of the procurement process is where supplier responses are assessed against pre-determined criteria and any procurement objectives of an organisation.
Once evaluations are complete, the team will move on to preparing the required Evaluation Reports, which summarise the outcomes of the assessment process.
Probity Advisors then review the evaluation findings to ensure all processes and scoring are applied objectively and fairly.
We’ll check back in again next month, but for now, a reminder that tenders close on 27 February 2026 at 2pm. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
We look forward to continuing to strengthen our partnerships with suppliers and purchasers as we advance Queensland procurement together in 2026.
