Local Buy turns 25: celebrating a milestone of trusted procurement

Happy New Year!

Happy New Year from all of us at Local Buy. As we step into 2026, we’re celebrating a major milestone — Local Buy turns 25 this year. Since our establishment in 2001, our mission has remained the same: to deliver trusted, pre-qualified supplier Arrangements that support Government and meet the evolving needs of our customers. Reaching our 25th year only strengthens our commitment to helping you streamline procurement with confidence and ease.

Over the past year, more than 3,200 people joined us across webinars and our three in-person events. Your engagement, questions, and collaboration continue to shape the way we support councils, suppliers, and the broader sector.

This year is already shaping up to be something special. In August, we’ll host our 25 Year Anniversary Conference in Brisbane, with an agenda that’s coming together beautifully. Our keynote speaker is confirmed, and registrations will open soon — we can’t wait to share more.

Our Engagement Team — Liz, Audrey, and Jeremy — remain dedicated to helping both Buyers and Suppliers get the most out of Local Buy. Alongside them, we continue to deliver training on our fully funded technology platform, Unimarket (formerly VendorPanel), and work closely with our Category Managers to ensure every Arrangement remains fit for purpose and aligned with sector needs.

We look forward to connecting with you across Queensland — whether in Council, online, or at one of our events. Thank you for your continued partnership, and we’re excited for what 2026 will bring as we celebrate 25 years of Local Buy.
