We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our clients to find complete solutions by leveraging our industry knowledge and capability in project planning, procurement management, engineering, design, contract administration, feasibility studies, funding grants application writing and management of approvals.
Our detailed approach provides the best possible results in terms of budget, time, safety, quality and environmental considerations.
How we work with councils
Hit by multiple weather events across 2021 and 2022, Scenic Rim Regional Council was able to engage Redfrost through a competitive Request for Quote process through Local Buy Arrangement LB279 – Project Management (Civil Infrastructure).
Redfrost was able to get on the ground quickly and undertake damage assessments across the road and drainage network to develop submissions to the Queensland Reconstruction Authority (QRA) for infrastructure recovery projects. As further disaster events occurred, Redfrost re-assessed the road and drainage network to ensure any new damage was identified and repaired.
Redfrost also used Local Buy Arrangements such as LB312 Engineering and Environmental Consultancy Services to enable council to appoint geotechnical engineers and design consultants. Civil construction contract tenders were issued and managed through Vendor Panel, which ensures that all documentation is available to all tenderers and ensures robust tender management.
Over $100 million of road and drainage reconstruction works have been completed, split between works delivered by council’s internal works crews and civil infrastructure construction contractors engaged through Local Buy Arrangements.
Local Buy Arrangements enable contracts to be awarded quickly and efficiently, reducing the time required before works can begin whether that is geotechnical investigation or design works. Using VendorPanel to manage tender processes streamlines and secures all communications to and from tenderers, ensuring the State Procurement Policy is adhered to.
Positive legacies for local communities
The Redfrost team has created a culture of flexibility and work-life balance and we share knowledge and experience to the benefit of team members and clients. Many of the team regularly attend conferences such a IPWEA and other relevant training to increase our knowledge base. Several of our team have presented at national, state and regional conferences to share our knowledge within the industry. We also sponsor industry events.
We strongly promote mental health wellbeingand we have partnered with “Are You Bogged, Mate?” to wear their shirts in the field. They provide a great program helping country blokes talk about mental health and suicide. We spend a lot of time on country roads and in small country towns and the shirts have sparked many conversations with the locals. The Redfrost team also participate in the Walk for Awareness in Brisbane each year to further promote mental health awareness.
Redfrost support local sporting clubs and community events including Scenic Rim Ago Expo, Richmond Field Days and Withcott Soccer Club amongst others. Several of our team actively volunteer with schools, children’s sport and athletic associations and participate in charity events.
