Local Buy is launching two new arrangements for November 2025. The first is a replacement for Fleet Management Services LB281 which is expiring on 30 November 2025.
Fleet Management Solutions
The new Arrangement, LB339 Fleet Management Solutions provides the following categories:
- Fleet Consultancy,
- Fleet Management (FMIS) & (IVMS),
- Auction,
- Vehicle Disposal and Remarketing Services,
- MaaS (Mobility as a Service)
- Subscription Services (Vehicle Rental and Leasing Services),
- Digitised Maintenance,
- Repairs and Servicing.
New categories include the Vehicle Subscription services being offered in the market as well as Digitised services for repairs, maintenance and servicing. Many of our current suppliers have elected to participate with the new Arrangement that runs for three years until 31 October 2028 with 4 x 36-month extension options.
This Arrangement provides Queensland, Northern Territory and Tasmanian councils and approved purchasers with access to pre-qualified suppliers.
Heavy and Light Plant Machinery Equipment
Our other new Arrangement is LB345 Heavy and Light Plant Machinery Equipment. Local Buy has amalgamated the old Heavy Plant NPN2.25-1 with the Tractors, Mowers LB282 into a single multi-category panel covering 17 categories.
New categories include:
- Concrete Equipment,
- Electric plant machinery,
- Leasing options, and
- Spare Parts & Servicing.
Another feature is the ability to purchase both new and used equipment under the same Local Buy Purchaser Conditions of Contract. This will be beneficial to many smaller councils with limited budgets when buying machinery.
LB345 Heavy & Light Plant Machinery Equipment runs for six years expiring on 30 September 2031 with 2 x 36 month extension options.
LB345 Heavy and Light Plant Machinery Equipment is exclusive to Queensland and Northern Territory Local Governments and other approved government and NFP buyers.
Both new Arrangements provide a streamlined procurement process, allowing purchasers to obtain competitive pricing from competent, reliable suppliers through a select Request for Quote (RFQ) process rather than an open public tender.
Council officers can register for our upcoming contract launch webinar for LB345 Heavy and Light Plant Machinery Equipment on Tuesday 2nd December
