Back due to popular demand, our 2024 Procurement Summit series will kick-off in Cairns on March 21 at the Double Tree by Hilton. We hope you can join us!

"100% of delegates from 2023 indicated they found value in attending and would attend future summits."

The Advancing Queensland Procurement Summit provides a platform for collaboration, sharing knowledge, and exploring new avenues for advancing procurement practices in Queensland. Participants will be equipped with valuable insights and strategies to navigate the evolving landscape of procurement, contributing to the economic growth and resilience applicable to their local region and the state.

Local Government Procurement is costly, time consuming and must comply with the Local Government Regulations 2012. Councils need to manage fraud and corruption risks and must also comply with Queensland Audit Office standards.

Councils were asking for help with procurement, which is why the Local Government Association of Queensland (LGAQ) created Local Buy in 2001.

Local Buy helps Council meet legislative, reputation and compliance needs, simplifying the process by connecting councils to pre-qualified local Queensland suppliers

With this in mind, Local Buy is excited to host two Summits in 2024; Cairns and Rockhampton.

We look forward to seeing you at the procurement summit at DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cairns. If you require accommodation please select link for dicounted accommodation at DoubleTree by Hilton.

This event is free for Council officers and executives. Please use your council email address to register for this event.
