Active Arrangements Update | June 2023

Written by Ebony Setefano, Arrangements Manager - Local Buy

‘Active Arrangements’ was established in August 2021 to enable potential suppliers to apply to their tenders four times a year. The benefit of this tender process allows new suppliers to join contracts within the contract period and allow existing suppliers to add additional categories if their capability extends from their original tenders.

Our ‘Active Arrangements’ open every February, May, August, and November at 12:00 AM on the first of the month and close at 2:00 PM on the last day of the month.Open month gif 1 1

The reason Local Buy was established is to help councils’ procurement function meet legislative, reputation and compliance requirements. We help simplify the process by connecting councils to pre-qualified local Queensland suppliers, big and small.

June Highlights

Throughout our May Active Arrangements round, the following activity occurred:

  • 441 tender responses were submitted in May and are currently in the evaluation phase
