Feature article by Leigh Hogan, Senior Advisor - Enterprise Automation. TriMation

We started TriMation to deliver practical automation without the jargon. From a one-person startup, we’ve grown into a team that partners with local and state government departments across Queensland and beyond. We focus on three pillars—people, products, and processes—to deliver real, effective results.

We listen to your challenges, plan a clear path, and guide you through implementation and optimisation. Whether you take the lead or hand over the project to us, you’ll get solutions that work—no fluff, just impact.

After talking with several councils about modernising their systems, we decided to take the initiative rather than wait for lengthy and costly RFx cycles. Local Buy’s streamlined procurement through their Arrangements, makes it easy to engage directly with councils and state departments. By becoming a pre-qualified supplier, we got our services approved fast and opened the door to new, innovative projects with councils and other purchasing organisations. Recently we hosted roundtables at the Future of Queenland Government summit and it was recognised that we were on Local Buy Arrangement ICT Solutions, Products, Services & New Tech LB308 which makes it easy for local and state government to do business with us while meeting procurement obligations.  We’re excited to be part of a network that values practical solutions and local growth.

Working with  council

We were engaged by Noosa Shire Council via Local Buy to simplify their integration and automation journey. As a result, the council team introduced Workato, giving them in-depth access to the low code/no code platform so they could connect key systems with confidence—including operational applications and external platforms —with ease. Becoming a Local Buy pre-qualified supplier meant that Noosa Council were able to access our services in a timely manner, whilst continuing to meet their procurement regulatory & policy obligations. This enabled council to experiment, learn and subsequently deploy automations quickly.

We’re applying the same hands-on approach with the ACT Government , helping them modernise core processes and automate tasks that matter most.
