My Local Buy Story: Northbridge
Feature article by Krystal Aul, General Manager, Northbridge
At Northbridge Recruitment, we believe recruitment is about more than filling roles — it’s about supporting the communities we live and work in. As a proud Local Buy pre-qualified supplier, our focus has always been on delivering high-quality workforce solutions while championing local values, supporting councils, and building long-term relationships.
Working hand-in-hand with Local Government
Being a pre-qualified supplier on Local Buy Arrangements has enabled us to streamline recruitment processes and reduce procurement hurdles for councils — while ensuring compliance and rapid turnaround on hiring.
Our team values the relationship we’ve built with Local Buy. Their support helps suppliers like us scale efficiently, engage ethically, and keep local government at the heart of what we do.
In addition to providing recruitment services through Local Buy Arrangements LB297 and LB334, our partnership through Comensura (C.Net) has enabled us to support councils such as Logan City Council, Sunshine Coast Council, Queensland Urban Utilities, and City of Moreton Bay Council, across a broad range of roles from ICT and Asset management to Administration, Finance, and Project support.

Over the last year alone, Northbridge has successfully placed more than 43 professionals across Logan City Council, City of Moreton Bay, and Queensland Urban Utilities through Local Buy Arrangements — a testament to our team’s commitment to delivering fast, flexible, and people-first workforce solutions. We’re excited to continue expanding these partnerships and engage with more managers and departments across Queensland councils.
Grounded in community spirit
Our passion for community involvement goes beyond business. Krystal Aul, our General Manager, is not only leading our national delivery but is also an active committee member for Browns Plains Little Athletics — one of Logan’s proudest community-based sporting organisations.
Pictured to the right with Councillor Tim Frazer, Krystal’s hands-on involvement highlights Northbridge’s belief in contributing where it counts. Tim has been an incredible supporter of the club, providing fundraising support through water bottles and sausage sizzles for athletes and always showing up when the community needs him.
Making a difference – one sausage at a time
Community spirit is a core value at Northbridge, and it’s reflected in our actions — not just words.
Whether it’s placing an experienced asset officer with a regional council or flipping snags at a community BBQ, we know that being present matters. Volunteering time at events, fundraising for schools, and sponsoring local initiatives are all part of how we give back.
Looking ahead
With major projects like Brisbane 2032 on the horizon, the need for reliable, values-driven recruitment partners is only growing. We’re proud to play our part, supporting councils and local communities through skilled talent, strong partnerships, and a whole lot of heart.
“We don’t just place people into jobs — we support the communities where they live. That’s what being a Local Buy supplier is all about.”
